The Whole You
by Wendy Humphris, ROHP Now that you understand a little more about what gluten is and how it affects your body if you have an intolerance to it, it is time to figure out what exactly you can eat. This is a new lifestyle, so don’t treat it like something you only do when convenient. If you think it will be better, start gradual by slowly removing food items with gluten one by one until eventually the majority of your diet doesn’t have it. Remember that you have a sensitivity, not an allergy, so you can still have some gluten in small quantities.

by Wendy Humphris, ROHP Unless you have been living under a rock, you have undoubtedly seen or heard many people saying they are reducing their gluten or giving it up altogether. In some cases, people actually have allergies or a condition called Celiac disease, which is causing gluten to make them ill. Others simply have a sensitivity or intolerance to gluten. The latter is more common, so that is what we are going to talk about.

― Pawan Mishra Clean Eating as a Vegetarian If you are a vegetarian, you might be looking for a way to eat healthier, but also avoid meat and possibly dairy products as well. Luckily, a clean eating diet is one of the easiest to follow and still maintain a meatless lifestyle. Here are some tips for eating clean as a vegetarian. by Wendy Humphris, ROHP When lunchtime rolls around, you want to be able to put together a simple meal that is nutritious, filling, and doesn’t take a lot of time. The following lunch ideas will fit all of these requirements.
Wendy Humphris, ROHP The long, hot days of summer are fleeting and it’s time to welcome the shorter, cooler days of Fall. Just as things change from season to season with a rhythm that is natural and predictable, so too does our internal rhythm change.
The work we did in Summer to cleanse, lighten, and purify ourselves showed in the glow of our skin and the soft, flat foundation of the belly. The work we will do now, entering Fall, will introduce the body to more balanced, grounding and slightly astringent foods designed to release the heat of the summer and boost the microflora, so we head into Winter with a robust immune system! Wendy Humphris, ROHP Believing in yourself is often touted as the cause of success. But if you have low self-esteem, it’s not easy to believe in yourself. You may struggle to step outside of your comfort zone and look for a way to make your life better. You may believe that you don’t have the means to better yourself or that you don’t deserve a better life.
Wendy Humphris, ROHP Self-esteem is how you view yourself. It’s the lens you look through when you consider who you are. If you have low self-esteem, you may view yourself in a negative way. Instead of thinking about how you have the gift for communication, you see yourself as someone who just can’t shut up.
Wendy Humphris, ROHP Low self-esteem and a lack of confidence can be caused by a number of things. Many people think that to fix low self-esteem, you have to look inside yourself. While it’s true that there are internal things that cause low self-esteem, there are also external factors that can contribute to low self-esteem.
Instead of looking inside for all the reasons you're not more confident or successful, let's look at the space you live in. Ask yourself these questions and spend some time thinking about your answers. Wendy Humphris, ROHP Low self-esteem can cause negative self-talk. This can further lower your self-esteem causing a vicious cycle where you continually feel bad about yourself. The good news is that you can change the way you talk to and about yourself. When you conquer negative self-talk, your self-esteem will improve. You’ll gain more self-confidence and you’ll feel more optimistic about your life in general.
If you’re ready to break the cycle of negativity, you need to understand these essential truths. Wendy Humphris, ROHP When your self-esteem begins to rise, you realize you have options you never hoped for. Suddenly, your future isn’t bleak and depressing. It’s exciting and filled with new opportunities and experiences. Rather than dreading the future, you’re anticipating it. So, what’s next? How do you get from where you are today to that bright, shiny future that you’re looking forward to?
