Wendy Humphris, ROHP Self-esteem is how you view yourself. It’s the lens you look through when you consider who you are. If you have low self-esteem, you may view yourself in a negative way. Instead of thinking about how you have the gift for communication, you see yourself as someone who just can’t shut up.
Wendy Humphris, ROHP Low self-esteem can cause negative self-talk. This can further lower your self-esteem causing a vicious cycle where you continually feel bad about yourself. The good news is that you can change the way you talk to and about yourself. When you conquer negative self-talk, your self-esteem will improve. You’ll gain more self-confidence and you’ll feel more optimistic about your life in general.
If you’re ready to break the cycle of negativity, you need to understand these essential truths. Wendy Humphris, ROHP When your self-esteem begins to rise, you realize you have options you never hoped for. Suddenly, your future isn’t bleak and depressing. It’s exciting and filled with new opportunities and experiences. Rather than dreading the future, you’re anticipating it. So, what’s next? How do you get from where you are today to that bright, shiny future that you’re looking forward to?
by Wendy Humphris, ROHP What feelings come up when you think of summer ending and autumn creeping in? Is it one of refreshment and excitement for the new season to begin? Or perhaps you're disappointed for the summer fun in the sun to come to an end? Which side of the road are you on? When I think about it for myself, I seem to be in the middle of the road, leaning towards loving September and the season of Fall.
by Wendy Humphris, ROHP Jotting down everything you eat throughout the day can unlock so many clues as to what foods work best for you, and what foods may be negatively affecting you without you even realizing. It can be as simple as carrying a small notebook around in your purse, or even as quick as downloading a Food Journaling app on your phone to keep track. There are many great ones to choose from if you search for food journaling in your phone's app store.
by Wendy Humphris, ROHP We’ve talked about how to prioritize tasks that must get done, but what about making time for more of what you love? Do you ever feel like you’re giving too much of yourself?
by Wendy Humphris, ROHP You've ditched the processed junk foods and started bringing healthy lunches to work. These are powerful first steps that sound simple but make a profound impact. You even saw some significant improvements in the beginning, but you've seemed to hit a plateau. So, what's going on?
You had the best intentions of using up those leftovers from the weekend. At first, your Meal Prep Sunday seemed like a dream idea. You'd prep food for the week, have it all stored and ready, and you'd have a home cooked meal every day without much effort. But by day #3 of it, your family is giving you the side-eye, and you can no longer bear to eat the same dish again.
Do you ever have those days where you can't seem to think straight? It can feel like your brain is actually foggy, and you can't possibly see through the fog to get to your thoughts. Fatigue often accompanies brain fog -- feeling easily irritated, forgetting things or having trouble learning new things, feeling unmotivated, anxious, lacking concentration and even insomnia. The stress of life can cause brain fog to take root, but the good news is you can do a lot to clear the fog in your head.
