The Whole You
Do you ever have those days where you can't seem to think straight? It can feel like your brain is actually foggy, and you can't possibly see through the fog to get to your thoughts. Fatigue often accompanies brain fog -- feeling easily irritated, forgetting things or having trouble learning new things, feeling unmotivated, anxious, lacking concentration and even insomnia. The stress of life can cause brain fog to take root, but the good news is you can do a lot to clear the fog in your head.

Simple ways to lose weight and keep it off, finally. You’ve likely heard this promise a million times before, often relating to specific exercise programs and strict food plan – and I bet you’ve even tried many of them. The problem is if they work at all, the results are short lived before the pounds find their way back to you – rapidly, usually. So, why is that?
Even when you begin changing your eating habits for the better, incorporating cleaner foods and better practices, you can still fall victim to the massive carb craving. Sometimes, we attribute these carb cravings to a lousy day at work or a stressful week of deadlines, but carb cravings can also come from physiological imbalances.
by Wendy Humphris, ROHP It’s one thing to eat healthy at home when you’re in control of what’s available — but eating out while traveling can sometimes put a strain on our healthy eating habits. Travel and meals out are a part of life — and quite enjoyable, don’t you think?! — so feeling confident and comfortable with making healthy choices with the options you're given is an important part of continuing your healthy lifestyle.
by Wendy Humphris, ROHP Not so long ago I wrote a post to help you curb those nasty cravings. Today we're looking at substitutions and perhaps what your body may be looking for when you are craving something.
When you think about food cravings, typically the first thing that comes to mind would be some type of junk food. Something that is high in calories, low in nutrients, processed and quite unhealthy. Is that what you tend to crave when a craving kicks in? What is your go-to craving -- chocolate chip cookies? A big bowl of ice cream? I'm certainly no stranger to the occasional urge to rip open a chocolate bar, go through the drive-thru window, or dive into a bag of my favorite chips -- and I'll bet you aren't a stranger to this either. The occasional indulgence isn't anything to be alarmed about, but if you find yourself licking the remnants of these indulgences off your fingers on a more regular basis, you’ll need to practice some control to get in charge of those cravings. The goal here is to be in charge of your cravings, not have them be in charge of you.
