Wendy's Favourite Green Smoothie

April is Green Smoothie Month ( I hope you're following along in our Private Facebook Group 'Transform Your Health with Wendy'), so I thought I'd pass along a few recipes that are my favourites as well as many of my clients as well. We'll be learning about the benefits and discuss the differences between juicing and blending...and much more interesting fun things. 
Follow along as we get into 30 days of green smoothie and begin your Green smoothie habit this month.
You'll thank me afterwards I guarantee. 

Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla coconut or almond milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 scoop protein powder, I use Genuine Health Fermented Vegan protein
  • 3/4 - 1 cup berries 
  • 1 tbsp spiriulina powder
  • 1-2 cups greens (spinach or kale)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or ground flax seed or flax seed oil
Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in blender, denser ingredients away from blade.
  2. Pour liquids in. 
  3. Blend until desired consistency. 
  4. Add more water to thin out or remove ice to make thicker. 
There are so many variations to the perfect green smoothie. And it mostly depends upon your tastes and what you have in the house at the time.
