Balsamic Honey Herb Dressing

Using natural sugars like honey and maple syrup are incredibly better for your body and your immune system. 
Although vinegar may not be for everyone (like my candida clients), balsamic vinegar provides a nice sweet/tangy component to foods. Reducing it alone will give you a glaze that will add even more sweet/tanginess to whatever you're eating. I like to drizzle some on tomatoes with basil and maybe some buffalo mozzarella. 
Here is a nice dressing that can be used over a green salad or reduced down into a glaze for fish or chicken. 
WHAT YOU NEED: 
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon herbes de Provence
  • sea salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
 

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: 

​Add all the ingredients​ to a jar with a lid. Shake vigorously until well incorporated (about 1 minute). If possible, allow the dressing to sit for 30 minutes before eating to allow the flavours to come together.
Sugar Free TIP: OMIT the honey if desired. Add in 1 Tsp stevia. I would also decrease the oil to about half what is indicated. Replace with water if you like.
